About Greg

A Lifelong Educator

Greg Deets is running as a first-term incumbent for the Waukesha School Board election that occurs on April 2, 2019. Greg and his wife, Linda, have lived in Waukesha since 1990. Their two children attend North High School. Greg began his career teaching in both special and general education classrooms. He was an elementary principal in the School District of Waukesha for 21 years at Hawthorne, Meadowbrook, and Heyer. Currently, he teaches special education in the Palmyra-Eagle School District. At the Board level, he actively serves on the Technology, Teaching, and Learning and Human Resources sub-committees. If re-elected to the School Board, he will continue to bring an open mind and a proactive/collaborative approach to addressing issues. Greg is a good listener, a problem solver, and extremely reliable. His leadership style fosters respect, engagement, innovation, transparency, and accountability. He does not hesitate to challenge the status-quo or to ask the tough questions. Likewise, he will invest the time and effort needed to fulfill the numerous roles and responsibilities entrusted to him. Your vote for Greg on April 2nd will be a vote for our students, our community, and our future.
