School Safety

All students and staff have the right to a safe and orderly learning environment. I will continue to examine current data, policies, and practices in our schools and address needed changes.

College & Career Readiness

I will continue to study the success rates of our current K-12 programs while at the same time supporting high student achievement, early intervention, remediation, and accelerated learning opportunities.

Staff Retention

Too many of our new and experienced staff leave the field of education or go to another school district. We need to retain quality staff and provide them with the necessary professional development. I will continue to explore the whys behind these trends and help to develop corrective actions to address them.
